In 2004, Emms represented Great Britain at the Athens Olympic Games in Greece, partnering Nathan Robertson in the mixed doubles event. They successively defeated China’s Chen Qiqiu / Zhao Tingting and Denmark’s Jonas Rasmussen / Rikke Olsen 2-0 in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, advancing to the final.
